Digital min says slowdown of rise of IT salaries good for Russia
MOSCOW, Dec 15 (PRIME) -- The salary growth of Russian IT specialists is slowing down, which is a good sign for the country and IT business, Digital Development Minister Maksut Shadayev said on Friday.
“We do not see salary fall, but slower growth. Certainly, it’s a good sign for us because they do not rise like before. This is a good sign, probably, for IT business and shareholders. Probably, it is worse for the developers themselves who would like to see the salaries double in three years,” Shadayev said.
High salary growth point to an overheated market, and the temporary slowdown in the rise means the market cools down, he added.
Shadayev also said that the trend can be related to the fact that many junior specialists have come to the market – their salaries are low, which impacts the average indicator.
